649 Low-Loader with Excavator

     Lego 649 Low-Loader with Excavator z 1972 r. zestaw składa się z ciągnika siodłowego z naczepą, na której umieszczona jest obrotowa kabina koparki. Zestaw jest dosyć abstrakcyjny, bo takie naczepy służą raczej do przewożenia koparek, a nie montowania ich na nich na stałe. Sama konstrukcja nie jest zbyt skomplikowana, składa się z 30 elementów, z których najciekawszym jest baza naczepy (element nr 968), w tym kolorze występująca jedynie w trzech zestawach. 

    O ile sam zestaw nie jest wybitny, to ma dosyć ciekawe pudełko, otwierane od góry i posiadające ładnie wykonane grafiki. Instrukcja też jest nieźle wykonana i standardowo, jak na instrukcje z tych lat zawiera też rysunki innych, dostępnych wówczas zestawów. Zarówno instrukcja i pudełko zachowały się u mnie w bardzo dobrym stanie, dzięki czemu zestaw, choć skromny, jest ozdobą kolekcji.

    Lego 649 Low-Loader with Excavator from 1972 is a set consisting of truck with a trailer, on which a rotating excavator cabin is placed. The set is quite abstract because such trailers are usually used for transporting excavators rather than permanently mounting them on top. The construction itself is not too complicated, consisting of 30 elements, with the most interesting one being the trailer base (element number 968), which is available in this color in only three sets.

    While the set itself is not outstanding, it has a rather interesting box, opened from the top and featuring nicely designed graphics. The instruction manual is also well-made and, as was standard for instructions from that time, includes drawings of other sets available at that time. Both the instruction manual and the box have been preserved in very good condition, which makes this modest set a decoration in my collection.
