171 Complete Train Set Without Motor
(English version below). Zestaw Lego nr 171, Complete Train Set Without Motor zotał wydany w 1972 r. w serii Train 4.5V. Pociąg sam w sobie nie jest zelektryfikowany, można jednak było go ulepszyć dokupując silnik (103: 4.5V Motor Set with Rubber Tracks) i wagon "bateryjny" (161: Battery Wagon with Signal and Direction - Changing) uzyskując pełnoprawny skład z własnym napędem.
Zestaw Lego 171 Complete Train Set Without Motor składa z lokomotywy i trzech wagonów: wywrotki, platformy z burtami i otwieranymi drzwiczkami z dwóch i drugiej platformy do przewozu długich ładunków (w tym wypadku są to dwa żółte bricki 2x10). Całość uzupełnia zestaw klasycznych, niebieskich torów, z których można zbudować pełny okrąg. Lokomotywa to typowy, czarny parowóz jedynymi akcentami kolorystycznymi jest biało-czerwony pasek na kominie (2 plate'y 2x2) i żółte lampy (w starej wersji - element nr 39). Wagony i lokomotywa łączą się ze sobą za pomocą magnesów, trzeba pamiętać, że mają one dwa bieguny, więc dla ułatwienia zostały oznaczone niebieskim i czerwonym kolorem.
Na kilka słów uwagi zasługuje też pudełko, które jest solidnie wykonane, front jest ruchomy, a po jego uniesieniu ukazuje się nam porządna, styropianowa wytłoczka w której prezentowane są wózki wagonów. Instrukcja, oprócz kolejnych kroków budowy zestawu, pokazuje też w jaki sposób połączyć zestaw z silnikiem i wagonem bateryjnym.

Lego set number 171, the Complete Train Set Without Motor, was released
in 1972 as part of the Train 4.5V series. The train itself is not
electrified, but it could be upgraded by purchasing the 103: 4.5V Motor
Set with Rubber Tracks and the 161: Battery Wagon with Signal and
Direction-Changing, which would turn it into a fully functional train
set with its own propulsion system.
The Lego 171 Complete Train Set Without Motor consists of a locomotive and three wagons: a dump truck, a flat wagon with side walls and opening doors on both side, and a second flat wagon for carrying long cargo (in this case, two yellow 2x10 bricks). The set also includes a collection of classic blue tracks that can be used to construct a full circle. The locomotive is a typical black steam engine with the only color accents being a white and red stripe on the chimney (made of 2x2 plates) and yellow lights (in the old version - element number 39). The wagons and locomotive connect to each other using magnets, and it's important to note that they have two poles, which are conveniently marked with blue and red colors.
It's worth mentioning a few words about the box as well, which is sturdy and has a movable front. When you lift the front, you'll find a well-made Styrofoam insert that showcases the wagon components. The instructions not only guide you through the assembly steps of the set but also demonstrate how to connect the set to a motor and a battery wagon.
